GOWF (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the GOWF mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information we collect

When you create an account or use GOWF, we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed).
  • Golf data: scores, handicap averages, matchup results, and attendance records you enter.
  • Device information: device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide and maintain the GOWF service (league management, scoring, standings).
  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account.
  • To send transactional emails (password resets, league invitations).
  • To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared with:

  • Your league members: scores, standings, and matchup data are visible to other players in your league.
  • Service providers: we use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. Supabase processes data on our behalf under their own privacy policy.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase-managed infrastructure. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and golf data for as long as your account is active. If your account is removed from a league, your historical scores are preserved for league integrity but your account can be deleted upon request.

6. Your rights

You may:

  • Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.

7. Children’s privacy

GOWF is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
